Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series Releases 2022 Schedule

SOMERSET, KY (November 30, 2021)—The premier Open Wheel Modified touring series in the Southeast, the Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series has released the tentative 2022 schedule with the largest purses ever.

The schedule features increased purses for drivers and an increased point fund for the top-10 drivers in the end of the season points. All races will now pay a minimum of $1,500-to-win and $150-to-start the 25-lap events. The series will also pay the top-ten drivers in the points at the season’s end. The lap counts for $1,500-to-win events will be 25 laps and the entry fee will remain at $40.00 for all $1,500-to-win events.

The sixth season begins with a double-header on April 29-30 as the “Light it up Blue for Autism” weekend with a pair of $1,500-to-win and $150-to-start, 25 lap events each night. The track will return to Boyd’s Speedway for another double-header, the “Pretty in Pink” weekend on October 14-15, with $1,500-to-win and $3,000-to-win races respectively. Both weekends will feature “Bo Duke” John Schneider and his wife Alicia as they present Bo’s Extravaganza on the Road during the events. The final trip for the series to Boyd’s Speedway will be November 19 for the running of the 34th Annual Gobbler event paying $1,500-to-win.

411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. will be on the schedule hosting the series’ largest events ever on July 14, 15 and 16. The Third Annual Area 51 Weekend will feature the Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series sanctioning the weekend. Thursday July 14 will feature and open practice, Friday July 15 will pay $1,500-to-win and Saturday July 16, the 51-lap $5,151-to-win event. The series’ season finale will be November 26 at the McCarter Family’s 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. for the 7th Annual Leftover Race.

Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky. returns to the schedule for three appearances on May 14 for the Spring Shootout, July 2 for the Hall of Fame Classic and September 24 for the Fall Cruising Classic. Ponderosa Speedway will return to the schedule on Friday August 5 for the Pete Abell Memorial. I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn. returns to the schedule on June 11 and July 23. The schedule could feature a few TBA dates.
